Tell us a bit about Big Ink and how you became involved.
BIG INK; a publication for creatives by creatives. BIG INK is a place for unearthed talent to be recognized and celebrated in the Australian creative community. I started working with BIG INK as an intern over two years ago. I was helping to coordinate social media, blog and the occasional assistance with content creation for the magazine, which included writing and styling shoots. Being apart of the magazine for a few years my responsibilities grew and so did my ability to have a say in where the magazine was going. I was promoted to sub-editor at the end of 2015 and worked closely with the editor to create magazine content and overall direction. At the beginning of 2016 I took over the magazine as editor taking on all responsibility for the direction of the publication.
How did your love for fashion arise?
My love of fashion has always been apparent in my life, honestly since I can remember (cliché I know). I was always interested in design and thought that would be the path I would follow but once I really started learning more about the industry I knew that the backend and a more business orientated role within the fashion industry was where I was meant to be!

What is your ultimate style advice?
'Keep it simple stupid' I give my mum credit for that line. But honestly simple, paired back and sophisticated will always work. Always. You don’t need to make a statement the simplicity is statement enough.
What tip would you give an aspirational PR and marketing hopeful?
I can't stress enough how important work experience is. Intern wherever and however you can! You learn so much more about the industry, the people and the job you want to be in. It is also a great way to start getting your name out there and networking.

What item can't you live without?
Is it so sad to say my phone? I have been working on trying to distance myself from my phone but my work never stops so I am constantly on it checking emails, social media and staying up to date with news and the industry.
How would you describe your morning ritual?
My morning routine is rather important to me, it is my alone time and it helps me begin a productive day. But I am not going to lie I do press that snooze button every so often on my alarm! I usually start my day with a 10 minute meditation, 5 minutes of stretching out my body and every second day I will do a quick 20 minute mat Pilates session. From here I will shower, plan out my outfit in my mind and proceed with my beauty routine and then start the day!

How would you describe your bedtime ritual?
Bed time will be a combination of things. I usually struggle to switch my mind off at night with ideas and reminders constantly popping up. So I ensure a pen and notepad is on my bedside table if anything comes up. I will do a quick social media round (with my night mode switched on my phone) and then try to read a chapter of a book each night.
What is your favourite thing about being at home?
My bed, being able to lay in my cloud of a bed in my pajamas has to definitely be my favourite thing about being at home.

What book are you currently reading?
I am currently reading the Great Gatsby, the 20's inspire me a lot.
Which Homebodii garment best suits your personality?
There are too many divine pieces to choose from! I think I’m going to say the beautiful Sofia Romper. The young and playful cut mixed with the feminine detailing through the frills and the pattern I think
